Finally, an update!

It has been quite a while since I wrote my last blog. It’s not exceptionally busy, but life goes on. I know I’m repeating myself by saying this; but the people here are awesome. They’re so nice to hang out with. Because of this, our weekends are pretty fully booked with drinking coffee, going for walks or just spending some time together down town. Normally, Sunday was blog writing day, but nowadays it’s filled up with all sorts of other activities. I’ll have to check my agenda and make room for writing somewhere else – everything to keep you guys updated!

Meanwhile, God is working hard in me. At the end of last year, I got everything sorted out. I thought. But if I look at myself right know, I’m not completely sure about that one anymore; nothing bad, just confusing. At the moment Jonathan Conrathe is our guest speaker. A guy who decided to life his life with one goal: showing and telling about the love of Jesus to everyone on earth. He wants the people to know the power of forgiveness and freedom of the souls. His words go accompanied with signs and wonders – sick are being healed and where darkness tried to take over God comes again with a supernatural joy. Powerful. Jonathan was the one preaching in the Sunday morning service. At one point he said that God wants us to move on, He wants us to keep on growing and to reach out for new things. This isn’t always easy; it’s so nice to stay in our little comfort zone. We know what we are capable of and we’re good at it. Why would I ever put energy in getting away from that? A counter question could be: how are you ever going to reach your goals and visions if you’re not willing to change? Our goals are often way out of our reach, and the person we are at the moment is too small to fit into the dream we have. Bruce Monk, before he left, shared a word of God to all the students and staff present in his last teaching. He told me that I would be blessed with supernatural energy from God, that’s it. There you are, pondering upon what he just said. If someone tells you that you will be blessed with energy from God, it means that you will need an increased level of it. At that moment I had more than enough energy, meaning that I started to prepare myself mentally for what was about to come. I can tell you now, I need that spiritual energy. I’m not tired or anything, but this concerns a different kind of energy. I want to grow to become the best version of myself. I want to become the person that Jesus designed me to be. This takes energy. I will have to let go of certain habits. Which initially isn’t a bad thing; sometimes it’s good to change some habits. It’s good to let go of certain people. It’s good to stop holding on to some things of the past. It’s not always easy, but it’s good.
